Microsoft Updates Facebook for Windows Phone 7

PRLog (Press Release) – Mar 22, 2011 – Unlike other mobile operating systems, Facebook for Windows Phone 7 is actually built and developed by Microsoft, and designed to be as close to the desktop browsing experiences as possible while simultaneously fitting in closely with the interface and flow of Windows Phone 7's tiles and sliding screens. The issue turned up when some WP7 users reported that the Facebook app started crashing on them, and despite attempts to resolve the problem, they were completely locked out of the service on their mobile phone. Microsoft responded with an update to the app late last week that they promise resolves the issue.

Trouble with Facebook is the most recent problem that Windows Phone 7 users have had to deal with. Even so, Microsoft turned around an update to the Facebook app designed to resolve the problem in less than a week, and users initially reported that the update does indeed resolve the crashing and lock-out issue. There aren't many new features in Facebook for Windows Phone 7 version 1.2, but it's still a must-download from the Windows Phone Marketplace if you're a heavy Facebook user on your mobile device.
